Event Information

The exhibition focuses on the areas of photovoltaics, PV production technologies, energy storage systems and renewable heating which are consolidated in the accompanying conference as well.

Our DNV GL - Energy experts are looking forward to welcoming you this year on our stand location in Hall B3 stand #202. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet with our experts to discuss the challenges of the energy market. Learn about the various capabilities DNV GL – Energy’s portfolio has to offer along the entire energy industry value chain and learn about our added value for your energy project.
At our stand you will be able to meet the following DNV GL experts: Raymond Hudson (Global Service Line Leader Solar), Sebastian John (Head of Section Solar Germany), Ruben Ron (Head of Section Solar Spain), Haike van der Vegte (Consultant New Energy Technologies), Frank Stefan Mau (Senior Solar Engineer), Mattia Boccolini (Service Line Leader), Alfio Vergani (Senior Engineer), Bernd Hinzer (Head of Section Grid Code Compliance), Jochen Springhorn (Business Development Renewables Certification), Tobias Gehlhaar (Principal Engineer Electrical Systems), Mona Ghobadi (Communications Manager Central Europe and the Mediterrenean).

Meet the experts presentations at DNV GL stand #202 in Hall B3
Thursday, 23rd of June 2016, 14.00 – 15.40
At our booth #202 in Hall B3, you can talk to our experts and visit our lectures about the latest trends in solar technology. Coffee, soft drinks and light snacks will be provided.

14.00 – 14.20
Slot 1.1: “DNV GL White Paper: Smart Solar Services for Operating Assets”
Slot 1.2: “Smart Data Analytics for Optimizing PV Plant Performance”
Speakers: Raymond Hudson (Solar Service Line Leader, DNV GL) and Frank Stefan Mau (Senior Solar Engineer, DNV GL)
Why is the presentation of interest?
Smart Data Analytics eases detection of underperformance and unavailability, Smart Data Analytics triggers and supports efficient O&M activity, and immediate reaction reduces downtime and increases production.

14.25 – 14.40
Slot 2: “DNV GL’s new released PV Module Reliability Scorecard 2016”
Speaker: Raymond Hudson (Solar Service Line Leader, DNV GL)
Why is the presentation of interest?
In an industry too young to have long-term field data on reliability, DNV GL’s comprehensive laboratory study goes beyond  standard testing to bridge the knowledge gap and help minimize risk for solar investors.

14.45 – 15.00
Slot 3: “Certification of photovoltaic power plants - your added value“
Speaker: Jochen Springhorn (Project Manager, DNV GL)
Why is the presentation of interest?
• Discussion of qualification and validation testing of PV Modules, Inverters and Energy Storage Devices
• Manage risk to system technical and financial performance
• Support market entry of new products.

15.05 – 15.20
Slot 4:
“Addressing Risks - opportunities and threats related to PV systems in the Middle East and Turkey”
Speaker: Sebastian John (Head of Section Solar Germany, DNV GL)
Why is the presentation of interest?
2015 was a ground-breaking year for solar in the Middle East. Actually we could call it the year of the tipping point for solar on the Arabian Peninsula. In order to help satisfy this thirst for energy the Middle East has been setting new benchmarks in terms of adopting large scale solar power plants. However the extreme weather conditions in ME and Turkey bear also new challenges and risks.

15.25 – 15.40
Slot 5:
“The value of storage and making storage bankable”
Speakers: Raymond Hudson (Solar Service Line Leader, DNV GL) and Haike van de Vegte (Consultant, DNV GL)
Why is the presentation of interest?
Prices for solar-PV projects will increasingly be under pressure. Adding energy storage to the solar-PV system helps stabilizing revenue streams. DNV GL has lead the GRIDSTOR Recommended Practice on grid-connected energy storage and developed the World Energy Council report on solar-PV + energy storage. DNV GL’s combined expertise in storage systems as well as solar-PV integration, can provide added value to your solar+storage project and understand and mitigate risks in developing those projects.

If you wish to attend one or more of DNV GL’s presentations, please register by sending an e-mail to Mona Ghobadi.
