Many recent examples show that energy storage projects are becoming bankable: lenders are supported in this by independent engineering firms with risk mitigation and assessment reports on specific projects. Compared to financing in wind and solar, energy storage has the potential for multiple use applications enabling variable revenue streams. This flexibility can be seen as an opportunity for creative project development, but at the same time it can be seen as a risk to realizing full revenue projections.
