Indonesia is the largest economy in South East Asia and has maintained positive momentum in its unprecedented urbanization and industrialization for years. The GDP growth forecast for Indonesia is 5.2% in 2015. This steady growth is spurred by a population of 235 million but only 43% of the people have access to electricity. This growth should see Indonesia’s demand for electricity increase at 8.5% annually. The Indonesian government has Infrastructure projects worth US$150 billion planned for the next five years. It also plans to enhance energy security by diversifying its national energy mix featured by coal, gas, oil and renewable energy including geothermal, hydropower, wind, solar, bioenergy and ocean energy.
